Reading Center

Basically a service unit of the College since 1967, the Reading Center?s function has been confined to: diagnosing the reading performance of student referrals from different units of the University; giving individual instruction to reading disability cases; and extending help to University units undertaking remedial instruction in freshman English.

The Center periodically conducts short-term in-service course in Reading Education for public and private school teachers as well as administrators.

Since 1986, the Center has conducted Reading Link, a summer reading clinic that offers both enrichment and remedial programs for children from different schools.
